Olwen Minford is a registered Psychotherapist and Bereavement counsellor and holds a Masters degree in Psychotherapy. Until recently she had a parallel career as a Senior nurse and educationalist in palliative and end of life care and has extensive experience facilitating end of life care in care homes, hospital, and community settings across London.
Olwen is a seasoned facilitator and trainer and has worked with Difficult Conversations since its inception in 2014. She enjoys enabling and empowering staff, across all sectors, to have conversations they often dread in a meaningful, effective and compassionate way.
Olwen was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship in 2014 which enabled her to research “Improving communication training and compassionate care using arts based methods” .
She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
